Painting

Yes. We're finally at the painting stage!
About time.
And Oh Goodness.
We're being incredibly cheap about this whole bedroom rearrange thing. So far, the only thing we've purchased is hole patch stuff. And we already had all these half gallons of paint, in a variety of colors. K2 picked out some weird ones for her room - one wall is a completely different color and we're all okay with that.
Since we couldn't agree on a color for our room, we decided to take this very dark chocolate brown color and half lighten it for the trim and then double lighten it for the walls. Sounds perfect, right?
HA!
The trim looks nice - though thanks to a whim addition of a dark green the color is more of an antique green. I'm happy with it.
The walls however are hideous. The double lightened chocolate brown that should be tan is more of a crappy gray color. It totally clashes with the trim and makes me want to poke my eyes out with a stick. Thankfully, B only painted on very small section just to make sure we were doing the right thing.
Obviously, we weren't.
B called me this morning to ask if the color had grown on me. Most definitely not. In fact, every time I look at it I want to scream because it is so awful. Obviously, we'll be painting over it and for now, our room will be white with antique green trim.
See? How does that work? I was violently opposed to white walls. And I'm the one who told B the walls should stay white now. What the heck happened there? I think I've been brainwashed.
Anyway. Hopefully we'll be ready to move in by the weekend. Can't. Wait. To. Get. My. Bed. Back.

LOL! Maybe you could add some green to the brown/tan paint and get some funky green you really like. Of course, then you'll need a new comforter, new curtains, new furniture.... But you'll have your bed. Good luck. (:
