Was having trouble with my J word this morning - couldn't come up with one I liked...until I heard this from the living room..."I was only joking."
That's like some kind of theme for this house. Someone is always joking. Always. Practical jokes are normal. Whoopie cushions, rubber snakes, spiders and critters and common, and not just for the kids.
It's not just the practical jokes though. Basically, not one person in this house knows how to be serious. Even big things...big scary things...are dealt with through humor. That's our coping mechanism and one we've obviously passed down to our children.
That's it. Excuse me while I try to figure out how to boobie trap the refrigerator door...
