Since arriving unscathed from blogging the alphabet, Misty and I decided blogging cliches might be a fun thing.
So here goes. It'll be a weekly thing. (I think.)
Today's cliche: To Hell in a Handbasket
What does this mean? Okay. Stop. I know what it means. I guess my real question is why would anyone say this to begin with? Who said it first? And was it a joke?
Actually, it kind of reminds me of the wicked witch from the "Wizard of Oz". I don't know why.
And it sounds kind of odd too. "Well, that just went to hell in a handbasket." The imagery makes me shake my head.
Maybe it's me, but I just don't get it. I mean, I do, but...
