Eight abrasions - four bad ones, including the one on his scalp.
Six stitches.
One xray.
One mild concussion.
Two and a half hours at the ER.
One frazzled mother.
One proud teenager.
Yes. I got him to the ER.
Once I saw what was under all the blood he had no choice.
Boys.

I don't understand the proudness. I would so be f****** up my friend for being stupid enough to drive off with me on the car.
But then, I was as unusual a teenager as I am an adult.
I do believe it's mostly a "boy thing" - battle scars and all that. I was somewhat like that - a little bit of a daredevil with no thought to consequences, but then I had two older brothers who were always getting hurt so it probably rubbed off.
He thinks he's invincable. Go figure...
I told my husband about it, and he thinks he had to be standing on the car to be injured that badly. :)
I don't think he was standing on the car because of what kind of car it was.
But he did say when the kid pulled away, he grabbed onto the bumper and held on until his shoe fell off and he lost his grip.
Go figure!
