Where Are You Going?

Well, you're not going to get there unless you do something to make it happen.
It's true. You're not.
Doesn't matter what your dream is, no one is going to knock on your door and ask for your latest novel, painting, photograph, song, or whatever it is you do. They're just not. You're not going to get anywhere unless you work at your craft. And work hard. Sitting there wishing your dreams would come true won't make it so.
Dreams are wonderful. We need them. They keep us going, give us hope, motivate us. But they can't do the work. That's up to you.
If you want it bad enough, you'll do whatever necessary to make it happen. Whether it be writing when everyone else is asleep, getting up early to do whatever it is you do, or giving up some fun stuff every once in a while. (Remember balance though) Working, learning, researching...you have to be in the world you want to live in.
Yeah, sometimes necessary things take us away from our goals. And it is hard to get back into the swing once those necessary things are over, but if you want it you don't really have much choice. Do you?
Immerse yourself in your dreams.
And do the work.
Behave!
