...Or not...
I don't really have much this week...
Go over to Natalie's blog for the third installment of the hero showdown! It's Nathan Fillion against himself as Castle and Malcolm Reynolds and boy, was that a hard choice! She also has Samwise Gamgee against Harry Potter! The horrors!
Also, scroll a little bit and find the buy links for Natalie's new book Fight or Flight. It came out yesterday, and believe me when I tell you it's worth the read! And do the same at Misty Simon's Blog. She's sitting on a brand new release as well. I haven't read Strings Attached yet, but I'll be getting my copy this weekend.
What else?
Not much. The yard is muddy. The gnomes are grumbling about booze and nudie mags. The stink bugs haven't been too bad (knock on wood).
That's all I have!

Where Did the Weekend Go?
Holy cow! It's Monday already!
I have no idea how that happened. The weekend just disappeared!
So...anyway...
Here we are at Monday again...
Go here and check out Natalie's Hero Showdown. Vote, too! She's got some hard choices in there...but she also has Dean, and Castle, and Malcolm Reynolds...
And for more Natalie, go here. She's got an interview up on Ava's blog. Ava's also got an interview with Misty Simon, too.
And look for some interviews coming here soon - once I figure out the questions.
Here's your daily dose of creepy: Yesterday, while driving on the highway, I saw a naked clown doll in the middle of the lane. It was so very weird and scary! Who threw a clown doll out of the car? Why?

Feel Good Friday!
Made it to Friday! Somehow I feel like I've just slid into home...I'm sweaty, exhausted, sore, but glad to have made it! Score, baby! I lived through the week and got some stuff accomplished, too!
So here's the good list:
1. Friday. I think we already covered that one.
2. Awesomely fantastic cheesesteaks for dinner.
3. Sleeping in tomorrow.
4. Saying Hello to The Captain - maybe twice. But later. Because I'm still very far behind.
5. Having our evening plans change so that now we can relax and watch some LotR.
6. Maintaining the 50/50 challenge.
7. A new computer for the kids, though it's not up and running yet and that's frustrating.
8. Being warm.
9. Sleeping in tomorrow...wait, I already said that. But, man, I am looking forward to it!
10. Spring! My forsythia are turning yellow and little flowers are popping up in my flower beds (at least the ones the dog hasn't totally dug up)!
...and that is all for now. I'm going to take care of my writing challenge words, catch up a little more, and settle in to watch LotR with the family.

Answer!
Sorry I'm late! See #9 for the reason!
Okay, true and false....
1. We were at the pizza shop the other night when one of our town's finest stopped in. K4 jumped up and ran to the counter and told him, "My dad said this isn't the donut shop." True. It was really very funny. He teaches drug prevention at K4's school and we know him from various town things. Then he came over and tried to eat K3's calzone.
2. I broke my little toe dancing at the zombie party. Nope.
3. Today is not Wednesday. Did we have Wednesday this week?
4. The dog has been barking at 2am, on the dot, every single night for the past week. Nah.
5. The morning after the zombie party, we found an empty beer bottle on the front porch. It wasn't us (for one, I hate that kind of beer). True. I'm not sure...it's kind of freaky.
6. At the grocery store tonight, I ran into a guy with dreds playing the guitar as he walked through the store. True. He happens to be a friend and the brother of one of the BFF's.
7. It is impossible to find costume makeup and props in March. True!
8. Two minutes after my granddaugther got here on Sunday, she tried to stand on her own and fell, cracking her head on the coffee table. No. But I'm sure it'll happen soon. She's at the age.
9. This has been a long week, and it's only Tuesday. True, and I stand by it even more today!
10. I actually made some decent writing progress tonight. True, and that's the best one!
So there you have it - a day late and a dollar short!

Zombie Party!
The first of many pictures from the Zombie Prom!
These are the shirts we made - well, we didn't actually make the shirts. We put the stuff on the back and sleeve. They had "Zombie Response Squad" on the front. I'm sure you'll see pictures of that soon.
We had a lot of fun putting our costumes together, and we made a shirt for the birthday girl as well. And, as you can see, we all had very cool tattoo sleeves.
And there you have it!
Hopefully I'll get Tall Tale Tuesday done tomorrow!

Weekend Recap...
Let's see...
We did Feel Good Friday...
Saturday was:
1. Sleeping in. And sleeping in good, too. God, how I needed that!
2. Bill paying - could do without that!
3. Shopping, taking K4 to my sisters, inhaling country air (could do with far far more of that), more shopping for...
4. A Zombie Prom for one of the BFF's. What a blast! We dressed as the "Zombie Response Squad". It was awesome. I loved seeing everyone's costumes! Pictures will be here soon! We were out way too late, but it was worth it!
Today:
1.. Babysitting K5. What an ornery cutie! We had a good day and she is just so freaking cute! (and ornery!)
2. Getting to see another BFF, though we didn't get enough time to talk. We had some texting love, though.
3. Harry Potter weekend!
That is all for now! I will try to be better with the blogging this week....

Feel Good Friday
Well, hello Friday!!
What a long and bothersome week!
Here's the list:
1. Not cooking tonight. Heck, not cooking twice this week. Once out of necessity due to obligations and once because I didn't want to. Both equal sweetness is my eyes.
2. Sleeping in tomorrow.
3. Weekend plans.
4. Maintaining at least 50 words a day in the 50/50 challenge and making good (I hope) writing decisions.
5. Not finding nearly as many stink bugs as I expected when the temperature rose. Though tomorrow is another day. (and I did find more than I'm comfortable with - just not the epic numbers I expected)
6. Harry Potter all weekend - not that I'll get to watch it much, but it's comforting to know it'll be on.
7. The beautiful weather.
8. Bacon, Egg, and Cheese biscuits from McD's, though I know it's bad for me. I really enjoyed it.
9. Jammie pants.
10. Retreat plans coming together.
That is all for now.

I'm Here...
Not that you missed me or anything! Okay, I know one person missed me for sure! :)
It's been one of those weeks...One of those one thing after another weeks where you're never fully sure what day it is.
But I do know that tomorrow is Friday!
And I'm glad for it, though the weekend is packed with all kinds of stuff, including Grandma duty on Sunday - which I am very much looking forward to. We usually do Friday night dinner with K1, S, & K5, but we can't this week, and going two weeks without seeing the peanut is not acceptable.
I'm behind on pretty much everything external - laundry, grocery shopping, blogging, blog checking, Twitter, Facebook... Though I do know exactly what's up with my kids, so that has to count for something. Right?
In other news, I've made some important writing decisions this week and I'm happy about that. Plus, despite the craziness, I've managed to maintain at least the minimum word count in our 50/50 challenge (50 words a day for 50 days).
And if I want to maintain that stretch, I need to go write at least 50 words!

Monday Madness...
.....
I don't know. It's a random picture. They should really make the Monday after a time change a federal holiday. There wasn't enough coffee in the world this morning to make getting the kids up and to school on time pleasant. Plus, this week they're taking state assessment tests, which the kids call student state abusement tests or some such nonsense.
And speaking of nonsense, I need to figure out how to get the cat to stop trying to eat my hair and go to bed. I feel like I have a leaking gasket or something.

Weekend Recap!
Losing an hour sucks.
I can't believe it's Sunday night already. And it's bedtime, and of course, I still have a few things to get done before I can crawl in.
So...
Saturday flew by with tons of catch up from the week and not as much writing as I'd hoped for. Taxes, college financials, grocery shopping, laundry, stink bugs, recipe experimentation, bill paying...that kind of thing.
Today was family dinner day and it was a lot of fun even though half of us were missing. We made good soup and homemade hummus, played games, watched movies, and enjoyed each other's company. Very nice.
My house is in decent shape for the week. Which is good because this is a busy one.
Didn't write nearly as much as I wanted to and that bums me out and frustrates me at the same time.
And that is all...

Here's the list:
1. Family dinner night with extra guests.
2. K5's laugh and her chubby cheeks and her baby self.
3. Chaos. The good kind.
4. Getting the older K's taxes done - though K1's socials wrong on his w-2s and we have to wait for replacements and K2's getting back diddly squat.
5. Sleeping in a little, though K2's going back to school tomorrow early, so not so much sleeping in.
6. More Family dinner madness coming on Sunday.
7. Our basement only flooding a little with all of the rain we had.
8. Retreat plans!
9. Writing plans this weekend.
10. Hitting at least 50 words a day, every day, during the writing challenge.

Answers!
I'm late!
Here are the answers!
1. My bathroom is apparently the stink bug graveyard. I found approximately 10 carcasses in there last night. I want to know where they came from, why they died there, and if they all died at once...(because they weren't there before). True. And there seem to be more every day.
2. K4 said she was watching stink bugs move around her room last night. She reported one crawled into her underwear drawer and that's why she was all freaked out about socks this morning. I'm not sure... True. For some reason, her room seems to be the stink bug hang out. If there is one stink bug downstairs, there are six in her room.
3. B came home Saturday night. The rest of us were all hanging in the living room, watching something. He closed the door and said, "why'd you throw that at me?" I laughed, thinking something fell off of the counter. The next morning I questioned why the container we'd collected a few stink bugs in was on the floor when it had been in the window sill the night before. B said that was what had hit him when he came in the door....Ummm...Weird. True. Creepy.
4. I entered the living room last night to see B with all of the couch cushions off and with a freaked out look on his face. He said he'd felt the cat pawing his back while he was sitting there. The cat was on the back of the couch, looking at him like he was a lunatic. Also true. Also creepy.
So there you have it.

Television Recap
So, I finally got caught up with Castle, though my On Demand doesn't have the episode where Beckett and Castle kiss. I had to seek it out elsewhere and Mother of All That is Holy, that is one hot kiss. I realize Castle's life should irritate me - he's a writer and never seems to write much. Plus, he's absolutely loaded. But I can't be mad at any character Nathan Fillion plays. I love Castle.
***
The kids and I have been watching Face Off. It's a reality-based show about makeup artists competing for some grand prize. Every week they have a new challenge and at least one new judge. Except for the backstabbing and social issues, it's a good show. I like seeing what they create every week.
***
K2 wants me to watch Off the Map with her. We started an episode earlier, but chaos descended and the only thing I got to see was some underwater surgery and a Bott Fly removal. That stuff is cool, so maybe I'll give it a shot.
***
My usual favorites stand: Supernatural (and you already have my thoughts on that) and Ghosthunters. And Dr. Who (especially David Tennant's Dr). I know there's a lot of other good shows out there, but as usual. I'll either never see them, or I'll be late to party.
***
And there you have it. My lame tv watching habits. Sorry, after a day with the grandbaby the brain is kind of fried. She's adorable and full of herself. We had a fun day even though she wasn't feeling well and didn't want me out of her sight.

Dear Supernatural People,
You're killing me with the hellatus! April is a very, very long time to be without!
(So I had a pretty decent post, but then I hit a wrong key and it all left. No matter what I did I couldn't get it back. So I will try to recreate...)
So...
I loved that it was a family-centric episode. I loved Bobby's story about how he and Rufus met and how he and Rufus were like Sam and Dean at one time. I hated that Rufus said he'd never forgive Bobby for Omaha. Whatever happened must have been bad - who or what did Rufus lose? I really thought Rufus had the bug in him...
Grandpa is dead. And well...I can't say I'm sad about that. I loved how Dean charged into the room, ready to kill him like he said he would. I loved the dynamic between Sam and Dean and how they had each other's backs. They were themselves - better than themselves.
And I nearly died when I thought Bobby was dead! I was in horrified shock. For real.
Not so sure about the creature inside Bobby and the things he said. Or the "bug", but I'm very intrigued to see what happens next.
Overall, a sweet episode! But you're killing me with the long wait!!

Feel Good Friday - The Saturday Edition
So...I'm lame...
Friday evening was kinda busy around here though, and today has been the same, so let me hit the highlights.
1. Having all of the kids, and the grandbaby here for dinner last night. Chaos, but good chaos. (and I mean, complete and utter chaos.)
2. K2 being home from college for spring break.
3. K5 crawling all over the place and tackling the cat and reaching for me.
4. Getting to do Grandma duty tomorrow.
5. My writers meeting today and lunch afterwards.
6. Chilling at home, though I'm bummed our plans for tonight fell through.
7. Getting caught up on Castle. Man, I love that show.
8. Supernatural last night. I *think* I got to see 99% of it. What's up with the hellatus though?
9. Retreat planning.
10. The 50/50 challenge that starts tomorrow because it means I have to get my head out of my butt and write!
That is all...

Smell That?
No, I'm not talking about stink bugs, though I did fish a dead one out of the washing machine earlier. I'm also not talking about stinky teenaged feet, or the dog that desperately needs a bath.
It's a new month, baby!
I don't know why I'm excited about it. Though maybe excited isn't the right word. I dunno. All day I kept saying...March 1st, wow. I do like March. Except for the mud, and the unpredictable weather, and the muddy paw prints and fur all over my house (and by this I mean that the dog lays in the mud and then comes inside and gets mud on the walls, the couches, me...ugh). I like a lot of things about March, but I could probably say that about every month. I guess March means that this whole 2011 thing is real. We've lived through two months of it, and it's not going away. Ha!
Anyway. Tall Tale Tuesday is a fail today. I don't have much to Tall Tale about. Either that, or my brain just isn't working. (I'd bet on the second, especially since it's after 9pm and I'm just now getting stuff done.)
So...that's it. Happy March! And...
